Our history
My husband and I founded the Logan Strong Foundation in honor of our son, Logan. At just 3½ months old, he was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor that flipped our world upside down. We were told repeatedly that he wouldn’t survive… that he’d never walk, talk, or eat. But Logan had other plans.
He fought through surgeries, procedures, and months of uncertainty with a strength far bigger than his tiny body. And while his journey has left him with a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Autism, and hearing loss requiring hearing aids, he continues to rise above every expectation. He is—and always will be—my tiny miracle.
Today, Logan is 9 years old, full of personality, determination, and joy. And I’m proud to say he doesn’t just walk—he runs.
He doesn’t just talk—he knows tons of words and finds new ways to express himself every day. And he absolutely destroys bags of veggie straws like it’s nobody’s business.
He works hard with a full schedule of therapies at school and at home, and he no longer needs annual scans. He continues to defy odds with a bravery that inspires everyone around him.
His resilience is the heartbeat behind this foundation—and it’s the same spirit that inspired the creation of Ocho™, our beloved comfort companion that has brought joy and emotional support to so many children. What started as Logan’s own special companion during treatment has now become a symbol of hope, comfort, and bravery for families everywhere.
When your child receives a life-changing diagnosis—whether it’s cancer or another serious condition—you enter a world of fear, uncertainty, and overwhelming decisions. You juggle hospitals, doctors, specialists, endless appointments, therapies, school meetings, and the emotional weight of trying to stay strong for your child. I’ve lived that life. I know exactly how heavy it feels.
That’s why our mission is so deeply personal and unwavering:
EMPOWERING FAMILIES ONE CHILD AT A TIME.
Through the Logan Strong Foundation, we offer meaningful, hands-on support that brings comfort, connection, and relief during some of the hardest seasons a family can face. Whether it’s easing long hospital days, lifting a child’s spirit, providing comfort items like Ocho™, or giving parents a moment to breathe, every program and service we offer comes from lived experience and genuine compassion.
We show up for families the way people showed up for us—each in their own way, exactly when we needed it. Those moments of support carried us through more than anyone realizes. Now we take that same heart and expand on it, offering steady, genuine support that helps lighten even a little bit of the weight families are carrying.
Everything we do is rooted in compassion, dignity, and respect.
Logan’s courage, heart, and determination fuel every part of our work. Because of him, we are committed to making sure no family walks this journey alone.
